MEPs are aware that the critics addressed to Qatar are rooted more in the political agenda of some countries rather than in the ground realities. They underlined that the European Parliament can bring more light on the progresses made by Qatar in terms of human rights and workers’ rights through the political instruments of the parliamentary debates and resolutions. In this context, the Qatari officials were invited to participate at future meetings at the European Parliament.

During the high level meetings on the fields of energy, education and investment, both the Qatari representatives and the EP delegation stressed their commitment in finding ways of enhancing co-operation between their countries. They also agreed that the best way to fight radicalization, poverty and bring peace and stability in the world is to invest in education, human capital and have a better economic cooperation.
